Tracks:
    Peccaries are blunt tipped and more square-shaped overall.
 
Similar tracks:
    Deer have pointed tips and are somewhat heart-shaped.
 
Notes:
    We are not confident in telling this species from the collared peccary (Tayassu tajacu).  The collared peccary is likely smaller but there may be overlap in size.  There may be a difference in the shape with the collared peccary having more square tracks and the white-lipped having more rounded tracks, however this is only speculation.  If you have any information or photos of known species, please contact us.
*The track below is suspected to be from a collared peccary but may well be from the white-lipped peccary.
