Small weasel tracks often show 5 toes on front and hind feet, but the 5th toe does not always register.  The toes are teardrop-shaped and the claws are short.  Small weasels often travel in a bounding gate, with the hind tracks landing on top of the front.

 

Similar tracks:

    Squirrel tracks show 4 toes in the front track and 5 in the hind and have long, slender toes.
