Pointed tips and classic heart shape make this track easily identifiable.
Similar tracks:
Peccaries are blunt tipped and more square-shaped overall.

Is it possible to tell this species from other deer species (i.e. Mazama americana)? We are not confident in telling the deer species apart. There seems to be significant variation in shape and size of each species. If you have any information or photos of known species, please contact us.
