Tracks:
A medium sized feline track with 4 toes usually showing in the front and hind tracks.  Cat tracks are asymmetrical with toe 3 usually leading the others.

Similar tracks:
The ocelot (Leopardus pardalis) may have larger tracks.  In jaguarundi (Puma yagouaroundi) tracks, the toes appear very long and there is considerable space between the toes and the heel pad.  Oncilla (Leopardus tigrinus) has much smaller tracks.  Other jungle cats are much larger.  Canine tracks are more symmetrical and usually have a proportionally smaller heel pad and show claws.

Notes:
We are uncertain of how to confidently tell this species apart from ocelot.  If you have any information or photos of known species, please contact us.
