Tracks:
A medium-sized feline track with 4 toes usually showing in the front and hind tracks. The front track is noticeably wider than the hind and the toes are very close to the heel pad. Tracks are asymmetrical with toe 3 usually leading the others.
Similar tracks:
The margay (Leopardus wiedii) may be a bit smaller. In jaguarundi (Puma yagouaroundi) tracks, the toes appear very long and there is considerable space between the toes and the heel pad. Oncilla (Leopardus tigrinus) has much smaller tracks. Other jungle cats are much larger. Canine tracks are more symmetrical and usually have a proportionally smaller heel pad and show claws.
