Tracks:
    The front track of the capybara usually shows 3-4 large, slender toes.  The hind foot usually shows 3 toes and may show webbing.  The hind track is slightly larger and usually is placed at least partially on top of the front track.
 
Similar tracks:
    Tapir tracks show more blunt, rounder toes, and may be larger in size.
